The A48 has re-opened after a lorry struck the railway bridge at Broadoak.
It happened on the stretch of road between Elton Corner and The White Hart Inn.
Rail services have been disrupted with Network Rail has been carrying out inspections on the bridge.
Police said the road re-opened at 11:45am.
