Gloucester City Council is reminding residents that refuse and recycling collections due on Monday 2nd May will be taking place as usual.
Lloyd Griffiths, drugs head of neighbourhood services, said: “Our waste service provider, Amey, will be working normal hours during the two bank holiday Mondays on 2nd and 30th May.
“All bank holidays tend to generate additional waste as families take the opportunity to meet up or get out and about. As a result, we are encouraging everyone to recycle as much as possible, including food and drink packaging. Crews collect recycling and food waste weekly.”
