Police have closed Cheltenham Promenade following a serious collision this morning (Tuesday 23 January).
Emergency services were called at around 9.50am with a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and car outside Prezzo.
An elderly man has been taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment to suspected serious injuries.
Closures have been put into place from the Promenade to the junction with Imperial Square and from the Promenade turning into and out of St Georges Road while emergency services remain at the scene.
Motorists are asked to plan their route in advance and avoid the area.
