Gloucestershire County Council says three of its children’s homes have received Good ratings following recent Ofsted inspections.
They include a short breaks home for disabled children and two homes for children in care.
Inspectors praised the care provided, saying children felt safe, listened to and supported.
One child told inspectors it was the first time since being in care that they had felt cared for.
The council says all of its children’s homes are now rated Good overall.
Cabinet member Ben Evans said the ratings recognised the hard work of staff and the council’s commitment to helping children in care thrive.
