Award-winning singer, songwriter, and saxophonist, Curtis Stigers, will head to Cheltenham Town Hall for one night only this March.
His string of hit singles, millions of albums sold, and a 28-year recording career aside, Stigers’ commitment to artistic growth, and to bringing new tunes to the Great American Songbook, has become unparalleled in modern music. Along the way, this musician has redefined the constitution of contemporary jazz singing.
Stigers’ success as a songwriter has included co-writing with the likes of legends like Carole King and Barry Mann, and his songwriting talent also led to an Emmy nomination for co-writing and singing the theme song to the wildly successful TV series Sons Of Anarchy.
He contributed to the Great American Songbook – This Time, Never Saw a Miracle, Sleeping with the Lights On, Keep Me from the Cold, Anything You Want, the Emmy-nominated Sons of Anarchy theme song and, from The Bodyguard soundtrack, (What’s So Funny ’Bout) Peace Love and Understanding.
Curtis has performed and recorded with Eric Clapton, Elton John, Prince, Rod Stewart, Joe Cocker and George Benson. Awarded BBC Radio 2 artist of the year, the jazz singer continues to receive awards including album of the year and best international male jazz singer honours.
Curtis Stigers will be at Cheltenham Town Hall in Cheltenham for one night only on Monday 21st March 2022. Tickets are available to purchase from the venue’s website https://www.cheltenhamtownhall.org.uk/ or when calling the box office on 0844 576 2210.
