Police are appealing for information following a report that a cyclist was intentionally knocked off their bicycle in Tutshill last week.
Officers received an online report that the pillion passenger of a motorcycle had deliberately kicked the rear wheel of a bicycle which caused the rider to be knocked off the bicycle.
The victim stated that they were cycling along Coleford Road in Tutshill, just after the junction with Silley’s Close, when a motorcyclist overtook at a close distance and the pillion passenger kicked their rear wheel.
The cyclist, a man aged in his 40s, fell off the bicycle and sustained cuts and grazes as a result.
This took place at around 9.55am on Saturday 30 May. The rider of the motorcycle did not stop to check on the welfare of the cyclist and continued on their journey.
The rider of the motorbike and their passenger are now asked to make contact with police so that officers can get an account of what happened.
Investigating officers are also appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, saw either vehicle prior to the collision, or has any relevant dashcam footage to get in contact.
