Police stopped a caravan in a ‘dangerous condition’ on the M5 in Gloucestershire last night.

The vehicle was seized by officers and the driver was reported for various offences.

In a tweet, officers said: “Caravan stopped M5 motorway in dangerous condition. I think even we were surprised to see just how bad this was, and it takes a lot for that to happen! Vehicle seized and driver reported for various offences.”

Police also arrested a drink driver in a separate incident on the M5.

Officers said the manner of driving was poor and they initially reacted by failing to stop for police. The driver provided positive samples in custody and was charged.
