An elderly man sustained serious injuries following a collision in Gloucester yesterday (Thursday 8 October) and police are appealing for witnesses.
Emergency services were called to Cole Avenue at around 1.11pm with a report of two-vehicle collision near to the turning for Tuffley Lane.
The collision involved the driver of a black Volkswagen Up and the driver of a silver Honda CR-V ES.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a man aged in his 90s and from Stroud, was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital with serious injuries where he remains at this time.
Road closures which were put into place in the area to allow for a collision investigation to take place have since been lifted.
Anyone who witnessed the collision but hasn’t yet spoken to police or who has dashcam footage which may be relevant is asked to make contact.
