A court case into the alleged illegal storage of more than 2,300 kilos of explosives at two sites near Cheltenham has been adjourned.
Platinum Home Cinema Limited, the company of Chase James Gardiner, of Hales Road, Cheltenham, appeared at Cheltenham Magistrates’ Court on October 27 charged with seven offences under explosive regulations and health and safety legislation.
Five of the charges relate to the alleged failure of taking appropriate measures to prevent fire or explosion and ensure the relevant storage separation distance of 1220.43 kilograms of explosives at The Livery Yard, Church Farm, Church Lane, Shurdington.
While the other two of the alleged offences relate to the storage of 1091.27 kilos of explosives at Halfpenny Farm in Cold Pool Lane, Cheltenham without a licence.
The case was adjourned until January to enable defence to consider the evidence presented.
