GL11 Community Hub has received £60,000 from Gloucestershire Freemasons to expand its child and family support activities over the next three years.
The funding will support the delivery of HENRY and PEEP courses, which help parents build confidence around healthy lifestyles, learning and play for young children.
Organisers say around 600 children and parents across Cam and Dursley will benefit from the programme, with courses offered free of charge and childcare provided for some sessions.
The initiative aims to improve school readiness in the area, where figures show 45 per cent of children are not currently meeting early learning goals before starting school.
Kath Redmond said the funding would help families facing pressures linked to the cost of living and reduced local services, while Freemasons representative Ian Davies said supporting families meant investing in the future.
