The leader of Gloucester City Council has announced he is stepping down in May.
Richard Cook made the announcement during this week’s City Council meeting.
The 70-year-old said his decision was due to ill health.
Cllr Cook has represented the Kingsway ward since 2016 and has been leader of the City Council since November 2019.
