Gloucester City Homes will be holding an Eid celebration this week to mark the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The event is set to be held at Charter Court, sick site Victoria Street between 12.00pm – 3.00pm on Thursday.
Everyone will have an opportunity to sample delicacies from across the Islamic world as well as a range of activities such as henna decorating and a stall selling some beautiful clothing and accessories.
The event is open to those aged 55+ from all communities and faiths. The event will not only be entertaining but also educational, prostate as Charter Court continues to carry out proactive activities to celebrate the diversity of residents in the Barton and Tredworth area.

Loretta Sadler, Wellbeing Coordinator at Charter Court says ‘We welcome any residents of Barton and Tredworth Community over 55 from all faiths. The event is a great way to get elderly members of the community together for an enjoyable afternoon which also provides some education about different beliefs in the community.’
