A Gloucester doctors’ surgery has limited staff today (December 2) due to a bout of food poisoning after a team meal over the weekend.
Hadwen Medical Practice in Glevum Way, Abbeydale, has apologised in advance to patients who may face delays when ringing their GP.
They said a number of their patient services staff are suffering from food poisoning. It is unclear where the staff went for the meal.
But some wellwishers took to Facebook asking where the place was to avoid the same fate.
Kaylee Kandiah said: “Get well soon everyone! Where was the meal? I’d like to avoid it please!
Another member of the public praised the “fab” staff at the GP surgery and wished them a speedy recovery.
Louise Dodsworth said: “Aww bless you all that are suffering hope you’re on the mend soon fab staff all of you x.”
Hadwen Medical Practice said in a post on Facebook: “Following a team meal out over the weekend, a number of our patient services staff are unfortunately suffering from food poisoning.
“We have very limited staff manning reception and the phones. We apologise in advance for any delays our patients experience as a result of this.”
Hadwin Medical Centre has been approached for further comment.
