Footprints 2 Africa has won a national award for its work supporting people living with stomas.
The volunteer-led charity was named winner of the Compassion category at the Markel 3rd Sector Care Awards.
Based in Gloucester, the organisation collects unused stoma supplies in the UK and distributes them to hospitals and communities in Africa.
So far, more than 41,000 supplies have been donated, helping patients manage their condition and regain independence.
Founder Sam Yiollaris said the award reflects the dedication of everyone involved.
The annual awards celebrate excellence across the not-for-profit care sector and recognise organisations making a positive impact on people’s lives.
Organisers say the charity stood out for its compassion and the difference it is making to vulnerable communities.
