A Gloucester theatre is to close for two months for repairs to be carried out.
The temporary closure of The Kings Theatre in Kingsbarton Street has seen several performances cancelled.
Theatre bosses said the theatre needs essential and unexpected safety improvements.
Board Chair, Andrew Taylor said: “We are working closely with our performers and hirers to reschedule as many shows as possible”.
“This closure is not the end but a new chapter. The heart of The Kings Theatre has always been you – our audience, our community, our family. Together, we will return, stronger and ready to create even more beautiful memories.”
The theatre will be closed until May 5th 2025.
