Average petrol cost is up 26% from start of last season to start of this campaign with average season tickets rising 14% over past three years
Gloucester are ranked third in terms of Premiership clubs with the highest average attendance percentage so far this season despite the cost of living crisis, new research by investment platform Saxo finds.
New data compiled by financial investment specialists Saxo shows there has been an uptick in the average attendance, rising higher in 2022/2023 so far compared to the 2021/2022 season – despite season tickets, petrol and other factors rising in price as inflation pushes the price of everyday items higher in the UK.
With the costs of everything rising across the nation, attendances may have been expected to fall – though it appears dedicated rugby fans, particularly Gloucester supporters, have been determined to support their team in the stands.
The research has been conducted by Saxo to celebrate their new partnership with Harlequins and show how fans remain invested in their teams and their passion for the sport.
