Celebrations were in full swing at Badgeworth Court Care Home in Cheltenham this week as resident Sybil Nash marked her 103rd birthday surrounded by family, friends, fellow residents, and staff.
The milestone occasion was marked with a champagne reception, a beautifully decorated cake, and an array of flowers and cards honouring Sybil’s remarkable life. Entertainment was provided by singer Amanda Jane Vintage, who performed classic songs for the gathering, while Deputy Mayor of Tewkesbury, Councillor Porter, was among the guests who joined the festivities.
Born in Hardwick, Gloucester, Sybil later lived in Tuffley and Leckhampton, Cheltenham. She enjoyed a career working for the government’s treasurer department and has always been passionate about travel, with Italy and South Africa among her favourite destinations.
Reflecting on her milestone, Sybil shared her secret to longevity: “The secret to longevity is to stay active and do the things you enjoy.”
