Gloucestershire County Council is inviting residents, businesses and community groups to help shape a new Spatial Development Strategy.

The strategy will guide how the county grows over the next 30 years, considering housing, employment, transport, infrastructure, health and the environment.

An initial public engagement period has been approved, allowing people to identify the issues they believe should be prioritised before detailed plans are drawn up.

A series of public drop-in events and online webinars will take place throughout November and December, including sessions in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Coleford, Tewkesbury, Stroud and Cirencester.

The engagement closes on 14 December 2026.

Feedback will inform the draft strategy, which will undergo further public consultation before independent examination.

Residents can take part at gloucestershire.gov.uk/SDS.
