A record store in Stroud has been named Record Store of the Year 2024.
Sound Records in George Street won the accolade following a public vote by Songs Behind The Music.
The record store said: “We exist solely to share the music we love with you so this means a great deal given it was voted for by the public.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us and we can’t wait to keep doing what we do in 25”.
This year’s awards received over 18,000 votes.
Organisers said: “Every category was extremely close, with in some as little as 1 vote separating first and second place. A huge congratulations is in order for all winners, as well as every single nominee.:”
“They are all absolute superstars, as are so many others who could have easily been nominated too”.
