GLOSCAT PANORAMA

Last month, viagra 40mg patient Gloucester City Homes and Project Solace held an event to raise awareness about support for victims of anti-social behaviour, sale in Kings Square, which was supported by a range of charities and support agencies. An array of activities took place, including a popular graffiti workshop run by street artist, Dice Sixtyseven.

Members of the public were given the chance to try their hands at some street art of their own in a controlled environment, on two boards. By the end of the day, the boards were full of colourful art, representing the diversity of Gloucester. To complete the artwork, the name Project Solace was sprayed over the boards to increase awareness of the support available, showing that the project was not only fun and a great way to unite different people.

As the artwork was such a success, it is now displayed on the hoardings at the old college building on Brunswick Road, opposite the Greyfriars monument.

The graffiti workshop held at the ASB event was kindly funded by the charitable trust, the Gloucester City Centre Community Partnership. One of their aims is to support youth projects and youth art is one of the ways in which they do this, currently there are 40 paintings fixed to the hoardings.

A spokesperson from Project Solace said “The event we held was a huge success and this fantastic piece of art is a great way to remind people of the support available from Project Solace for people suffering from the effects of anti-social behaviour. We would like to thank the GCCCP for funding this exciting project, which can continue to be enjoyed by residents of Gloucester.”

Street Artist Dice Sixtyseven adds “I would just like to say thank you to those that braved the rain to come along and, although it was certainly hard work at times, it was a lot of fun and great to see so many people come out to have a go.”
