A man who was attacked in a pub in Herefordshire has died from his injuries, police have said.
The 63-year-old victim was left in a critical condition following an incident at the Dukes Head pub in Leominster last Tuesday.
Detectives arrested a 33-year-old woman on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the incident.
In a statement, Det Sgt Shelley Aplin said: “This is a tragic incident and our thoughts remain with the family of the man who has died'”.
“We’re working hard to understand the circumstances that led to the man’s death and our investigation is ongoing.”
West Mercia Police said the arrested woman has since been released on bail while inquiries continued.
