Gloucester Services, buy on the M5 northbound, buy will be hosting a workshop next week to provide attendees with practical insight and information about becoming a micro-supplier.
Gloucester Services is keen to support and build strong relationships and work alongside current and new producers within Gloucestershire. The workshop will aim to provide insider knowledge about the process of conceiving, developing and growing a food business. So if you have ever dreamt of owning your own artisan jam business or micro-brewery this could be the ideal workshop for you.
Hosted by Nicky Wildin, Local Food Sourcing Manager at Gloucester Services, and followed by informal presentations from existing Gloucester Services suppliers, the workshop will also provide an ideal opportunity to network with local food producers.
Nicky says “We are keen to build on the work we have already started at Gloucester Services by providing support and information for those who have dreamt of their own business but maybe haven’t taken the first steps towards their goal and those who are already growing an existing business.”
Gloucester Services which opened in May 2014, is dedicated to local food, farming and local community. Current supplier to the services, Cinderhill Farm have supplied Gloucester Services with their produce since opening in May. Deborah Flint of Cinderhill Farm says “We’ve been working with Gloucester Services from the start and the impact the partnership has had on our business has been huge. We’ve been able to expand in to new premises and take on new staff. The business is growing and Gloucester Services have really helped us along the way.”
The workshop is very much ‘Open Door’ and ‘Here to Help’. It is a free event with free car parking and refreshments provided.
