JD Sports says it expects annual profits to be around £875M – thanks to strong customer demand across Christmas and Black Friday.
That’s £65million more than market forecasts.
Sales in the 22 weeks to New year’s Day were up by more than 10 percent on 2020 on a like-for-like basis.
JD Sports has stores in Gloucester and Cheltenham.
