His Excellency Mr Sungnam Lim, story The Ambassador of the Republic of Korea was a visitor to Gloucester earlier this week, rx with Kingsholm one of the stops on his tour of the city.
The visit was arranged by GROK who also organised the recent event at Kingsholm, link where renowned author Andrew Salmon delivered a talk on the Battle of Imjin River.
Relations between Gloucester and the city of Paju have been strengthened in recent times with several visits to both cities being undertaken by representatives of the respective cities.
Earlier this year, former Mayor Chris Chatterton visited South Korea and signed a memorandum of understanding with Paju Mayor, In-Jae Lee, which pledged that both cities will work together for their mutual economic and cultural benefit.
Mr Lim was given a tour of the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum before meeting Army veterans involved in the Battle of Imjin River.
He then had lunch with various dignitaries at the City Council offices before visiting Kingsholm.
