A Gloucestershire business is inviting families and their four-legged friends to its first-ever charity dog show this July in aid of their local hospice.
Whoswalkingme based in Badgeworth hopes to set tails wagging on Saturday 15 July, with a fun day out for pooches and owners alike, to raise money for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice just outside Cheltenham, where the event is also being held.
The paw-fect fundraiser will feature a doggy agility course, canine competitions, tricks showcase and dog scurry, plus stalls from local pet suppliers, food and drink stations (for two-legged and four-legged guests), children’s entertainment, music, a raffle and much more.
Whoswalkingme owner Gayle Rickards, said: “We are so proud to be hosting our very first charity dog show. It’s set to be a fun-packed day for all the family, giving dog owners the chance to meet up in an informative setting, all while raising money for a fantastic cause.
“Thank you to everyone who supported us so far. The Whoswalkingme dog walking and pet care team, our lovely clients, and of course their fantastic pets can’t wait to see everyone there on the day,” she added.
The event takes place between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 15 July at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Church Road, Leckhampton, Cheltenham GL53 0QJ.
Tickets cost just £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for children aged 0-12 years old and £6 for a family. The dog show is open to dogs of all breeds and sizes and participants are also encouraged to raise additional funds through pledges and donations.
Tamsin Grainger, Community Fundraiser at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, said: “We are grateful to Whoswalkingme for supporting Sue Ryder with their doggy day out event and we are really looking forward to welcoming everyone to the beautiful grounds of our hospice again this July. All money raised from the day will help our fantastic team to continue providing expert and compassionate palliative care to patients as well as supporting their families.”
