The M5 has re-opened following an earlier overturned lorry and emergency resurfacing work.
The Southbound carriageway was closed between J8 M50 and J11 A40 Golden Valley Bypass (Gloucester / Golden Valley Bypass). The lorry has overturned at 5:40am between J9 Tewkesbury and J10 Cheltenham.
The lorry overturned and split its fuel tanks spilling up to 600 litres of fuel across the carriageway. Police say the driver only suffered minor injuries.
All three lanes of the motorway had to be resurfaced after becoming damaged due to the fuel spillage.
The road was re-opened shortly after 8pm.
