Police have charged a man following an incident at Gloucester Police Station yesterday.

At 10.35am, nurse a man damaged car windows in the police station’s car park with what is believed to be an axe. He then walked along Longsmith Street and damaged the windows to the police station’s reception with the weapon.

A man was arrested at the scene. No members of the public were injured during the incident.

Peter Trigg, order 30, link of Westgate Street in Gloucester, has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and criminal damage in connection with the incident. He will appear at Cheltenham Magistrates Court today for a remand hearing.
