A man has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to drugs offences.

Marcus Raby, 34 and of Madeley Road in London appeared at Gloucester Crown Court on Friday where he pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of heroin and crack cocaine.

Raby was arrested by Support Group officers on 22 August after information had been received about his involvement in drug dealing and was subsequently charged with the offences.

Investigating officer Jorden Ashton said: “Raby was using vulnerable Gloucester drug users to enhance his drug line which he operated from London.

“This sentence shows that our efforts to tackle county lines drug dealing are working and we continue to ask for help from local communities so that we can look to identify and prosecute others who are involved.”
