The Mayor of Gloucester has officially unveiled newly refurbished facilities at Oxstalls Sports Park.
Councillor Ashley Bowkett attended the opening on Saturday as part of an open weekend showcasing the improvements.
The upgrades form part of an £8 million investment by Gloucester City Council to modernise leisure facilities across the city, including Oxstalls and GL1 Leisure Centre.
A key feature of the redevelopment is a new social hub, offering a modern space for visitors to relax with drinks and light refreshments.
Other improvements include upgraded lighting for indoor courts and outdoor pitches, as well as refurbished changing facilities for grass pitches.
The opening weekend also featured tennis sessions, family activities and children’s entertainment.
Operators Freedom Leisure say the investment will help create more opportunities for residents to stay active and connected within the community.
