Midsummer Fiesta is around the corner and preparations are already underway.

The popular event is returning on Saturday 2 July, buy from 12 noon to 9pm in Montpellier Gardens and is the biggest free community event of its kind in Cheltenham, featuring entertainment and activities for all ages and always attracting several thousand visitors.

There are a number of ways to get involved in the planning for this year’s fiesta:

  • Enter our logo competition to produce the event’s new logo, which is open until Monday 7 March. The prize is a meal for two at this year’s fiesta, plus credit for the artwork where it appears.
  • Calling all acts, bands, performers and dancers! If you would like to perform at the Midsummer Fiesta this year, please submit the details on oursubmissions page. The closing date is Monday 18 April, and the successful acts will be informed by early May.
  • The fiesta market place features around 100 stalls and is an ideal way to promote your local business, charity or organisation. Stalls are available from £15 for voluntary and community sector organisations and from £25 for others.
  • The event relies on a team of volunteers to help on the day. If you would like to help out, we need people to help with a range of activities and behind the scenes roles.

Helen Down, chairperson of the organising committee, says: “This year’s Midsummer Fiesta promises to be a fantastic day with something for every age group, from local music and dance acts performing on the stages to an exciting children’s village, sports activities, classic cars, rides and a large market place with a variety of stalls.

“We would love to hear from local acts, stall holders and people that would be willing to help us on the day.”
