Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice will be hosting their annual Autumn Fayre on Saturday 10th September, to raise vital funds for the hospice to continue its work in the local Gloucestershire community.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the fayre hasn’t taken place for three years – and so members of the community are excited for its long-awaited return!
Kicking off at 10am on Saturday September 10th, Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is putting on a huge amount of entertainment for the kids, including a performance by Music Man, Cheltenham Face Painting, Mr Whippy, a bouncy castle and a visit from a fire engine. For the parents, there will be a delicious BBQ, Exmouth Pop Up Bar, a raffle, tombola and there will also be a silent disco for all the family to enjoy!
There will be performances throughout the day to keep everyone entertained too, ranging from the Winchcombe Abbey Primary School Choir; to a karate demo from Shotokan Tora Karate; an appearance from Gloucestershire Troopers for all the Star Wars fans and finishing as is tradition with ‘The Gloucestershire Morris’ Dancers at 4pm.
Event sponsor, estate and letting agents Perry Bishop, will be running a ‘guess the house price competition’, with the chance to win a luxury M&S hamper, while the team from ‘Pets As Therapy Dogs’ will be there to provide some four-legged cuteness to the day.
The raffle promises some incredible prizes, including a £100 ‘Create Your Day’ gift experience from John Lewis & Partners, meal and cocktails for two at The Coconut Tree, and a Wing Walk Experience from AeroSuperBatics (you may have seen Gloucestershire grandmother 93-year-old Betty Bromage take to the skies recently with her fifth charity wing walk for Sue Ryder – now the prize winner can experience a wing walk for themselves!)
Alysia Cameron-Price, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice commented “This is set to be one of our best ever Autumn Fayres – with lots of great entertainment laid on and fantastic prizes to win, it will certainly be worth the three year wait! We are really looking forward to raising such important funds to allow us to continue our care in the Gloucestershire community.”
Gavin Wallace, Director at Perry Bishop said “We are so pleased that the beloved Autumn Fayre is back this year, it is such an important event in our local area. Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice does brilliant work, and we are so happy to be sponsoring the day.”
Entry to the Autumn Fayre is £2.50 per person, and children under 12 are free.
Gates are open 10am to 5pm at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, Church Road, Leckhampton, Gloucestershire, GL53 0QJ.
