Firefighters have spent the night tackling a large fire in Moreton Valence.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service said were called to the blaze at just before 1:30pm.
The fire broke out in 66ft area of rubbish near the old airfield.
Six fire engines and four supporting vehicles had been in attendance.
Crews remain on scene damping down the area.
Local residents have been advised to keep their windows and doors closed as the smoke clears.
