An outdated former children’s home in Hucclecote could be demolished to make way for a new GP surgery.
Gloucestershire County Council has submitted plans to Gloucester City Council to replace Jordan’s Brook House, which has stood empty since 2022. Built in 1970, the building has previously served as a children’s home, respite centre and offices.
The proposal is for a modern two-storey GP surgery with 21 clinical rooms, reception and staff areas, plus 32 parking spaces with EV charging, cycle storage and improved access.
It would replace the current Hucclecote Surgery in Brookfield Road.
Outline permission is also being sought for 10 new homes on the same site.
If approved, the new surgery will be built by Kier.
