British Heart Foundation are calling on Gloucestershire residents with a sense of humour to help them set a Guinness World Record.

On Sunday 8th February 2015, price as part of their National Heart Month Celebrations, see the charity will be attempting to set the World Record for the largest laughter yoga class.

Hartpury College is playing host to the attempt, where it is hoped to get 250 people doing a 30 minute laughter yoga class.

Local laughter instructors Daniella Warner and Pat Juby will be leading the session, which is being organised by local fundraising manager Rachel Davis.

The Laughter Yoga class is open to almost everybody – if you’re aged over 10 and not between 3 and 6 months pregnant, there is no reason why you shouldn’t get involved.*

You don’t need to be super fit, you don’t need to be able to tuck your leg behind your neck, you just need to be able to laugh and breathe!

Participants are encouraged to sign up for a place at the world record attempt – the organisers need to have 200 people signed up before the end of the year to be confident of reaching their target by February.

Anyone who wants more information about getting involved should contact Rachel Davis – 01905 863181 – Davisr@bhf.org.uk

Those who aren’t up to getting involved with the class could still get involved as official time keepers and marshals are also required.

National Heart Month (February) is the British Heart Foundations’ key fundraising month and the charity encourages individuals to get involved with their Annual wear red day on 6th February – “Wear it,  Beat it” (www.bhf.org.uk/red)
