Following a police appeal last night for information about the identity of someone who called from a phone box in Cheltenham, order police now believe this to be a hoax.
The call to police was made at about 6pm on Sunday 4 January from an apparently distressed young person speaking from a telephone kiosk in Marsland Road Cheltenham.
Police have now received information leading them to believe that this was a hoax call.
Police continue to investigate the background to the call.
