Health bosses want to demolish a redundant office block in Gloucester to make way for a new car park for NHS staff.
The plans to knock down Cleeve House in Horton Road have been submitted to Gloucester City Council.
The steel modular type building will be removed and the area will be returned to compacted hardcore.
The proposals include a new boundary fence to separate it from the existing allotment and installing LED lighting.
The existing manual car park barrier would be replaced with an electric automatic barrier.
Specialists will conduct the demolition and any asbestos containing materials in the building will be identified by a survey and removed beforehand.
Consultants say the noise and dust generated by the demolition will be confined within the site.
The overall demolition and construction programme is estimated to take around eight weeks.
People have until November 12 to comment on the proposals which planners are expected to consider by December 9.
