Polices in Cheltenham are appealing for witnesses after a group of boys in Cheltenham shouted homophobic abuse at a couple and assaulted them.
The incident happened at around 8.15pm on Sunday 9 April when two boys were walking on the lower end of the High Street, under the bridge near to the Tesco supermarket.
It was reported that a group of around six teenage boys, aged 16 to 17 years old, shouted homophobic slurs at the couple and then assaulted them on Easter Sunday.
One of the victims sustained a nosebleed and the other had a bruised jaw.
The suspects were described as being white teenage boys who were all wearing tracksuits. They fled the area down side streets after the assault and away from the town centre.
Officers are currently investigating and reviewing all CCTV footage from the area. They are now asking for anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have any information to come forward.
