Gloucester City Homes held a Fun Day at The Lampreys last Friday as part of the Community Pride scheme.
The scheme aims to bring together members of communities to help tidy up the area, search enjoy a range of activities and help to build community spirit.
A range of activities took place including games for the children, salve a bouncy castle and a barbeque. As well as this residents were encouraged to join forces with GCH staff to help tidy up the area by collecting litter, cutting the grass and weeding the plant pots.
Riyyaz Patel, Community Involvement Officer at GCH, said “The success of today’s event shows why residents of The Lampreys have every reason to be proud of their community. Residents and GCH staff joined forces to help tidy up the estate and there were fun games and a bouncy castle for the children to enjoy. The day ended with a BBQ which was a great opportunity for residents to get together and enjoy the fantastic community spirit of the area.”
