Checkout staff at some Primark branches have started sealing up its paper carrier bags with blue “sold” stickers to stop shoplifters.
It means any customers carrying a bag without one will be stopped at the door by security guards.
The company says it’s trialling the scheme in a number of branches to help tackle what it calls “antisocial behaviour” – and will listen to feedback from colleagues and customers.
