More than 300 charity runners took to the streets on Sunday 21 September for Run Cheltenham 2025, raising a record-breaking £142,000 so far for Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice.
The event, which is one of the most popular fixtures in the local community calendar, saw participants running in support of the hospice, which provides specialist palliative care and bereavement support for families across Gloucestershire.
Matt Reay, Community Fundraising Manager at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice, said the response had been “truly incredible.”
He added: “The support shown by the team of over 300 Sue Ryder runners has blown us away! Thanks to them, as well as our corporate partner and Run Cheltenham’s headline sponsor Safran, we’ve had a record-breaking year, raising an astonishing £142,000 so far, with funds still coming in.”
The funds will help Sue Ryder continue its vital work caring for patients and their loved ones.
Mr Reay also thanked the volunteers and organisers who helped make the day possible: “A heartfelt thank you to our fabulous team of volunteers and everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to support Team Sue Ryder.
