Update: Joan has been found and she is with officers.
Police are asking for help to find a 96-year-old woman with memory problems who has been reported missing from Churchdown.
It is believed that Joan left an address on Cheltenham Road East at around 9.30am today (Thursday 24 July) and headed in the direction of Tesco on that road.
Officers are searching for her as they are concerned for her welfare, and police are keen to hear from anyone who has seen her today.
When last seen Joan was wearing a short red waterproof coat and possibly a black and white dress underneath. She also had a black handbag.
Joan is described as having grey/white hair which is shoulder length. She also has links to Highnam.
Joan may appear to be confused and therefore may not know if someone is trying to help her. Therefore anyone who sees Joan is asked to be mindful of that and to call police on 999 and quote incident 158 of 24 July.
