Safer Gloucester will be hosting its Christmas crime prevention event in King’s Walk shopping centre on Tuesday 17th November 2015.
Officers and volunteers from several agencies across the city will be on hand from 9am to 5pm with advice and information for residents about how to stay safe at this busy time of year.
Gloucester City Council, help Neighbourhood Watch, cialis Gloucester City Homes, cure Victim Support and the police will be on hand to advise on the support available for domestic abuse and sexual violence, substance misuse and hate crime.
Free calendars will be given out which have a seasonal tip for every month in 2016.
Reasonably priced personal safety devices, and crime prevention equipment, will also be on sale.
Cllr Jennie Dallimore, deputy leader of Gloucester City Council said, “We’re delighted to host this event again, along with Neighbourhood Watch, Gloucester City Homes, Victim Support and the police. We’ll be talking to residents right across the city, with lots of crime prevention and personal safety advice on offer.
“Please come along and talk to us, tell us what’s important to you and report any concerns you may have. We hope to address any issues on the stall or shortly afterwards.”
Top tips for preventing a thief from spoiling your Christmas include not leaving shopping on display in our cars and remembering to lock cars and bicycles when leaving them – even for a few minutes. It is best not to display presents under the Christmas tree, instead leave them hidden away until Christmas day.
