A donation of luxury silk sleep masks from a Swindon-based business will hopefully help patients receiving care from a Gloucestershire Sue Ryder Hospice enjoy a more relaxing night’s sleep.
The donation of 100 beauty editor must-have cult sleep masks from Drowsy, worth almost £6,000, was received by Sue Ryder Nurse Lydia last week.
She said, “Sometimes people with a life-limiting condition can experience problems with sleeping. And as we all know, and have sometimes experienced ourselves, problems with sleep can have a significant impact on our wellbeing.
“For our patients not getting enough sleep has the added impact of making any other physical or emotional symptoms they are experiencing more difficult to manage too.
“This kind-hearted donation of Drowsy sleep masks will be really well received by patients we are caring for here in our specialist inpatient unit or at home through our Hospice at Home team. We are so grateful to Richard and the team at Drowsy for this generous donation.”
The Drowsy Sleep Mask’s clever design blocks out 100% of light, while the padded lining cushions eyes and muffles sound too, helping users to achieve a better sleep. The masks also come with a fully adjustable head strap, and are made from pure mulberry silk.
