Bus users in Gloucestershire are continuing to vent their frustrations over the continued cancellation of bus services across the county.

Many people have reported being late for work or missing appointments due to delays and cancelled services.

Last summer, Stagecoach were 11% short of drivers in the West area. Since May 2021, they’ve introduced 32 new drivers and are currently training 57 new drivers, with a large number of these are due to come to Gloucester.

Today, Gloucester MP Richard Graham confirmed Stagecoach will reimburse customers when there no reasonable alternative means of transport.

Mr Graham said: “The company advises that if your bus in cancelled and there is no reasonable alternative means of transport, they will reimburse customers for the cost of a taxi fare.”

“To claim a reimbursement, customers will need to email the receipt of the taxi journey alongside a brief outline of the trip taken and the information of the cancelled bus to west.enquiries@stagecoachbus.com”.
