The Clock Tower pub in Cheltenham reopened this week with an exciting new look, Gloucester News Centre went along to sample the new menu which we found flavoursome, generous portions and extremely well cooked (highly recommend the Sirloin steaks !!)
The Clock Tower pub in Charlton King has reopened with a new look following a £140k investment.
The pub’s refresh has seen the introduction of new wallpaper, stylish lighting, new seating, uplifting colour palettes and a new darts board. With an updated bar area and investment in team training, the pub has now officially reopened with a fresh new look.

Josie Houghton, an avid volunteer for the Springbank Community Pantry and who also runs ‘Let’s Cook With Josie’, a council funded company that offers cooking classes for the Cheltenham community, including children and families at Springbank Community Pantry & The Ridge Primary Academy, was chosen as the pub’s community hero to pour the first pint in the new look pub.
The pub, which recently welcomed a new landlord, is situated on the edge of Charlton Kings next to the Double Tree Hilton Hotel. The Clock Tower is ideally situated for a drink or meal before or after a visit to the nearby Lilley Brook Golf Club and has an Osprey Charging Station in the car park.
The Clock Tower has also re-opened with a new weekly events schedule.

The pub offers a varied menu of pub favourites such as Hot Dog (pork Frankfurter in a brioche-style roll with fried onions, topped with American mustard, ketchup, crispy onions and chopped chives, served with fries). There are also new additions such as Vegetable Thai-Style Curry (a warming vegetable Thai-style curry made with vegan red curry sauce, sweet potato, soya beans, red pepper, sugar snap peas and bamboo shoots, served with coconut flavour basmati rice and crackers) and Salted Caramel Cookie Brownie (brownie base, layered with rich gooey chocolate ganache, topped with chocolate chip cookie and salted caramel sauce, served with chocolate sauce and vanilla flavoured ice cream).

Huw-Morgan Evans, the new Landlord said “We are so excited to open the doors of the Clock Tower and to show our wonderful guests the result of our amazing refresh. We have invested a huge £140k into breathing new life into the venue and can’t wait to welcome our loyal customers back.”
