March sees the return of the highlight of the Jump racing season with the world famous Cheltenham Festival: four days of atmosphere, cialis anticipation and action played out in one of the world’s most beautiful sporting arenas.

This year the event will take place from Tuesday 15th March until Friday 18th March.

Encompassing everything that is great about Jump racing, The FestivalTM will see over £4.1 million in prize money is awarded across 28 races, and features the finest horses, jockeys and trainers who are set to battle it out for the highest racing honours.

Nothing compares to the roar of the crowd when the tapes go up for the first day of Champion Day: Tuesday 15th March opens The FestivalTM and includes a packed seven-race card including the most important 2 mile hurdle race of the season, the Stan James Champion Hurdle, won last year by the ‘new boy in town’, the impressive Faugheen, just one of eight winners for Willie Mullins during The FestivalTM in 2015.

Wednesday 16th March is Ladies Day; whether it is an extra feather in a beautiful hat, the highest heels in a lady’s cupboard or for the men their very best tweed, Ladies Day is always a hit with the crowd. Once again, this year’s best dressed ladies competition, named #ColourMeMarch will take place on the Wednesday, with the opportunity to enter your outfit to the competition, via social media, and win an array of fantastic prizes! The real action though is on the track, with a fantastic seven race card featuring the Betway Queen Mother Champion Chase, won in 2015 by Dodging Bullets from the Paul Nicholls yard and bred by Frankie Dettori.

St Patrick’s Thursday, Thursday 17th March draws the luck of the Irish to Cheltenham, as the racecourse celebrates St Patrick’s Day. Irish flavour is guaranteed with highlights on the course including the Ryanair Chase and the World Hurdle. To celebrate the Irish theme, the hugely popular ‘Dublin Legends’ will be preforming in the Guinness Village before racing and The Centaur after racing.

The climax of the entire jump racing season is Friday’s Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup; the highlight of arguably the best day’s racing of the year, with an atmosphere to match. Last year the championship race was won by Coneygree, a real story of the underdog (or should we say underhorse?) as his trainer Mark Bradstock only has ten horses in his yard. Six other magical races, including two more Grade 1 events and three fiercely competitive handicaps, make this a day to cherish.
