Clubbers could be saying goodbye to a Gloucester nightclub.
The owner of the Atik nightclub says it’s appointed administrators for some parts of the business as it tries to cope with rising bills and the cost of living crisis.
Rekom UK says it’ll restructure the business to give itself “breathing space”.
Atik Gloucester replaced former Liquid-Diva club in Eastgate Street in 2017.
Peter Marks, chairman of the firm, said the “notice of intention” gives the business “breathing space and protection” to work with lenders, landlords and other stakeholders on a potential restructuring plan. Rekom said recent trade has been particularly impacted by the heavy toll of the higher cost of living on young adults and students who regularly use its venues.
