Fire crews were called to a car fire on the hardshoulder of the M5 just prior to Michaelwood Services on the southbound carriageway last night.
Two fire appliances attended the location, no rx one from Stroud Fire Station and one from Gloucester South Fire Station.
The crews were at the scene for a total of 40 minutes dealing with the situation.
They used 2 hosereels and 2 breathing apparatus.
The vehicle was destroyed by the fire.
