A tenant of Gloucester City Homes who was served an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction on the 12th of December has already broken its terms and has since been sentenced to a six-week suspended sentence.
The six-week suspended sentence means that if the tenant in question breaks his injunction again during its 12 month period, viagra he will face serving at least six weeks imprisonment.
The injunction had originally been served after the tenant was behaving in an anti-social manner andcausing a nuisance to neighbours.
However, no rx just weeks later one of GCH’s Anti-Social Behaviour Officers attended his property to present a statement declaring how the individual had broken his injunction, as there were reports of continued noise nuisance.
Following receipt of the statement, the tenant confronted a neighbour who had provided evidence, breaching his Injunction once more.
These actions prompted his arrest and he was taken to court on 2nd January 2015 after being excluded from his home for a week whilst he sought legal advice.
Following the Court hearing on the 9th January, the outcome was decided. GCH and Gloucester City Council have worked in partnership throughout the case to ensure the best outcome.
The tenant is now aware of the repercussions faced if he breaks the injunction just once, not only imprisonment but that he will also risk facing eviction from his property.
Sara Hendry, Manager of the ASB Team at GCH said “The decision to apply for an Anti-Social Behaviour Injunction is a serious and we will only take this action if the perpetrator has caused significant distress to others. This case highlights that it is unacceptable to breach an Injunction at any point and how serious the outcomes are. Being excluded from his home for a week means that the individual now understands what he is risking by behaving in such a manner.”
