Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected arson which took place in Brockworth over the weekend.

Officers were called by Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service at around 8.15pm on Sunday (9 August) with a report that grass, shrubbery and hedges off Regent Close had been set on fire.

Fire crews attended and extinguished the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately by a group of teenagers.

Officers also attended and conducted house to house and CCTV enquiries in the area.

Investigating officers would now like to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened and hasn’t yet spoken to police.

In particular they would like to hear from two females who were in the area and may be able to help with the investigation. They were described as being under 18 and wearing the below outfits:

  1. Blue shorts, a white t-shirt and black Adidas trainers
  2. Black trousers, a black top, a pink handbag and white trainers.
